Green beans pacchadi with Green apple!

Pacchadi/chutney with Green beans & Green apple??It sounds weird right?But trust me tastes  yummy!! Recipe is pretty simple!

Ingredients – Set 1

  1. Oil – 2tsps
  2. Jeera – 1tsp
  3. Cilantro – 3tsps
  4. Garlic – 2 pods
  5. Green chilies – 6
  6. Green beans –  3 cups(small size)-cut into small pieces
  7. Green apple -1(small size) cut into medium size cubes (note: green apple is optional)
  8. Tamarind juice – 1/4 cup
  9. Dhania powder – 1tsp
  10. Salt – according to your taste

Set 2Tadka ingredients:

  • Oil – 2tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1tsp
  • Jeera – 1tsp
  • Hing – 6splashes
  • Red chilies – 3
  • Curry leaves – 10
  • Lemon juice – 1tsp (optional)

Procedure:

  1. Take medium size pan, add oil. Once oil is heated, add (1 to 4) from step 1, saute for 2mins. Then add rest of the ingredients from step1 & cook on medium flame for 6 to 8 minutes
  2. Once the mixture reaches room temperature transfer the mixture to the blender & pulse the mixture for 5times, check the taste & adjust if anything is needed. Then transfer the mixture into bowl.
  3. Put  small pan for tadka  on medium flame, then add all set 2 one by one fry for 2 to 3mins & pour tadka into step 2, mix well & add lime juice if required!! See how simple is that!!
  4. It can be served with white rice, rotis & it can be served as spread on breads 🙂
