Daddojanam with Oats!

Who said daddojanam can be made with rice ONLY?? I will teach you how to make with Oats.


Oats – 1cup; cook it with water until it is completely cooked & add sour curd – 2cups,salt – according to your taste, tumeric – 1/4tsp.

For tadka:

  • Oil – 2tsps
  • Mustard seeds- 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2tsp
  • Methi seeds – 4
  • Tomato -1, cut into small pieces
  • Curry leaves – 10
  • Cilantro – 1tsp(optional)
  • Hing – 2 pinches


Put small pan on the stove, on it & add oil & add one by one tadka ingredients, pinch of turmeric again, once tomato is half cooked off the stove & transfer to the oat meal, mix well & serve hot. See how simple is that!

Note: you can add grated coconut to tadka as well
